Sonu Chairman Babu Owino has said University of Nairobi students will ensure the removal of Health CS Cleopa Mailu and PS Nicholas Muraguri over the Sh5.3 billion Afya House scandal.
He said students will take part in protests organised by civil society, before proceeding to Afya House to eject the officials.
“We with to tell [Mailu] that right now we are using diplomacy. When diplomacy fails, the next best alternative is to eject him from office,” he said.
He warned that the protests may not be peaceful “because that is the language [student] seem to understand”.
“We are all capable of doing it without fear or favour,” he added.
Owino said that Mailu’s idea of hiring an independent auditor to go through the report that unraveled the scandal is merely a cover-up for the rot at his ministry.
“This is because the hyena will write a proposal on how to eat the goat instead of how to keep the goat safe. Why would you need an independent auditor to re-evaluate an audit report that you claim was sanctioned by your ministry,” Owino said.
He said that students will start rehearsals for the protests Tuesday midnight.
“We will come to your office, we will eject you, we will take you to Uhuru Park, we will pray for you and we will forgive you if Kenyans agree,” lamented Owino.
