Kenyatta university fraternity is a sad lot today. Several of their students have perished in a road accident that occurred along Kisii-Ogembo road. The students were involved in an accident as they were on their way back to Nairobi.
Reports reaching the news desk indicate that the students were six in number but only one managed to survive the greasily road accident. The students had graced the graduation party of one of their friends from Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
A total of Eight people have been reportedly killed and two critically injured when a lorry collided with two cars at Etora near Sameta in Bobasi sub-county, Kisii County. Three victims including one of the students were rushed to Kisii Level Six Hospital where they were admitted.
Hospital chief executive officer Enoch Ondari confirmed that the three had been admitted, with two in critical condition .
“Three people have been admitted. Of the three, one has has pelvic injuries while the others have head injuries. They were the only survivors from the accident,” Dr Ondari told Nation.
Police at the scene had a rough time getting through the crowd of onlookers at the scene of the accident.
Confirming the incident, Kisii Central Base Commander Francis Kithinji said that the two private vehicles including that belonging to the students collided with a lorry.
