Egerton University will tomorrow host the Nakuru County Gubernatorial debate. According to information shared by the institution’s communications team, the debate which will be held starting 6 pm has been organised to ensure that the public participates in the choice of good leadership in the region.
“The University recognises the importance of an election to the general public”, the note from the communications team reads.
“To meet this need and to live to its call, the university will convene a Gubernatorial debate for Nakuru County”, the note adds.
The note points out that the forum will give the public a chance to listen to the Gubernatorial candidates as they articulate their mission and vision for the county if elected to the office of Governor.
Gubernatorial candidates expected to participate in the debate will include; Hon James Mungai, Hon Dr Peter Koross, Hon James Njoroge, Hon John Mututho and Hon Lee Kinyanjui.
Themes to be covered during the gubernatorial debate will be; health and education, agriculture, food security and resource distribution, county governance structures and harmonious coexistence, peace, justice and fairness, infrastructure and the university’s progress.
