The third round of the prestigious Magazine Reel FERD Football league went down on Sunday with two crunch clashes set for the day. Kiswahili who were still looking for their first point this season visited WIEM at 2 pm whereas an improved AGEC took their chances with an equalt improved NARE.
Kiswahili fought and indeed earned their first points of the season courtesy of a Frank Dogo penalty kick. The match ended 1-0.
Meabwhile, Neslon Wetoyi continued doing what he does best- scoring goals. His brace against NARE made sure AGEC jumped to second place overtaking Ensc class who have a game in hand. AGEC settled their old scores with the 2-0 win over NARE.
With Kiswahili picking their first points and AGEC displaying a determination to win the league, perhaps the greatest disappointment last week was when Ensc vs BSc failed to materialize to completion. The much awaited clash of the league leaders ended in chaos after referee for the day Charles Barasa awarded trailing Ensc a late penalty that would have seen the two time champions perhaps equalize. BSc class could hear none of it and with only ten minutes to play, the match was called off, cancelled to be replayed mid this week.
And in a sudden turn of events, Ensc have snapped up the signature of BSc pointman Stephen Mumbi who already has netted three goals for his former class. The striker penned the deal late on Sunday evening minutes before the window was closed. This is another reason why you should not miss Ensc VS Bsc this week!
