President Obama to Attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi

The sixth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES2015) will be held in Nairobi on July 24-26 and President Obama will be there.Entrepreneurs and Investors will learn,inspire, network and mentor others during the conference which is a white house initiative. July 24 will be a day dedicated to women and youth entrepreneurs.

Leading names in the entrepreneurial, investment, financing, and educational arenas will speak, conduct workshops, mentor one-on-one, and network with many dynamic business founders and aspiring entrepreneurs from over 100 different countries.

Since the creation of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit  (GES) in 2009, it has become a pre-eminent platform for entrepreneurs and businesses leaders, international organizations, and governments looking to support them. 2015 marks the first time the Summit will be held in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Summit will be co-hosted by the Government of Kenya, previous Summits have been held in Morocco, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, as well as the United States.

Entrepreneurship can transform the world,create jobs,solve problems and boost the economy .The U.S through the United States’ Sparks Initiative, has committed to generating $ 1 billion in new investments in entrepreneurs, especially women and girls.

This ambitious initiative sparked the attention of a number of leading organizations, companies, and figures working on entrepreneurship, who gathered at the White House to discuss how they might collaborate. This coalition is coalescing around a number of key goals, ideas, and actions.

The programs selected to the President’s Spark initiative represent the best work being done by the U.S. Government to advance entrepreneurship around the world. Together, the effort can help to increase communication, coordination, and collaboration across all our efforts to support entrepreneurs around the world. Connecting these entrepreneurial sparks can help set alight a bright beacon of new hope, shared purpose, and opportunity.
