Junior Achievement Kenya in partnership with NIC Bank and Craft Silicon have put together a Financial Innovation Challenge for young people under the age of 24.
Junior Achievement Kenya is the country’s largest and fastest growing not-for profit organization with a mission of inspiring and preparing young people.
Craft Silicon Foundation is a registered non-profit making organization that is empowering youths, children and communities through Free Information and Communication Technology education and services.
Craft Silicon’s vision is to have empowered communities that are able to economically and socially sustain themselves through ICT and equip youths and other members of the community with free ICT skills and ease access to internet for social economic development.
The Foundation is a corporate social responsibility initiative of Craft Silicon Limited – a financial solution provider in Banking software, Micro-finance software, Mobile and Switch solution in the global market.
The Financial Innovation Challenge is looking to get “a device, technology, a tool, a process or an intervention”, that presents a significant level of innovation, providing an advance over currently commercially available products to enhance Financial Inclusion, Financial Literacy and Financial Solutions.
The winner gets a cash price of KES 250,000 from NIC Bank and Prototyping and Go-to-market mentorship from Craft Silicon Foundation.
