Kenya has registered another 4 new cases of Coronavirus taking the number to 42.
The Government has also called on to people who are trying to make political mileage over the problems to cease.
The CS Mutahi Kagwe told off a politician who had claimed that over 7,000 people have been quarantined. He noted that only 2,050 people have so far been quarantined.
Mutahi said that the government is expanding its capacity to handle the cases in the counties. Together with donors and well wishers, the CS said that they have singled out places such as schools and hotels that can be used as isolation points.
He has called onto every person to ensure that each person stays safe and thinks ahead together. He gave examples with the UK, Italy and USA which are experiencing a surge in numbers yet they have better facilities.
He urged those who are criticising the government to stop doing so and join hands in the fight against COVID-19. He said that even the most robust governments in other countries have been overwhelmed by the pandemic.
Mutahi also made a clarion call to everyone to prepare for any eventually in the coming days.
The government also urged the employers to release their employees at a time that will give them enough time to reach their homes before the curfew hours. The employees were urged to prepare for those who will still late in jobs rooms that they can use to sleep.
The Ministry of Health urged everyone to keep a distance and maintain hygiene so as to stay negative from the virus.
So far, slightly above 650,000 people are positive with the virus with US contributing more than 110,000 cases. Italy, China and Spain are also feeling the pain of losing hundreds and up to thousands of people daily to the pandemic.
