A similar event hosted in the same university as from 17th to 21st of December in 2016 saw Mount Kenya University (MKU) carry the day in various games including basketball where they smashed Pwani University 25 baskets against 13 baskets.

In his speech, the University vice-chancellor also issued thanks to stakeholders for having trusted them to host such an important event.

“I attribute this to the fact that our university has one of the best playgrounds and a very spacious environment which is also very conducive to such activities. I thank you for having that trust in us and indeed we shall deliver the best just as we have done before,’’ Mr Kioni said.

Last year, the event attracted a large number of universities as participants and this year all the 31 public universities and 27 private universities have been invited. Various leaders including former Nyeri county women representative Hon. Nyokabi are expected to grace the event which aims at bringing people together to embrace peace and unity.
