This article provides the most recently updated list of the top ten best universities in Kenya 2016/2017. This list is based on 4 International Colleges & Universities (4iUC) University Web Ranking. We would be updating this list as changes occur in the rankings.

This list does not include colleges of education, polytechnic, schools of technology and other similar institutions. But is strictly a top 10 list of the best universities in Kenya as of now.

This list is not intended to degrade any institutions or hype another but to help prospective students, alumni, undergraduates and administrators know where their institution stands.

To cut down the list of top universities in Kenya is not an easy task as their are several universities in the country which include: 22 government owned universities, 14 Private universities and 12 universities with Letter of Interim Authority (LIA) making a total of 48 universities in the country.
