FERD League: Bsc Soars higher as Nare, Ensci share spoils

The second round of the Magazine Reel FERD Football League went down last weekend with mouth watering clashes on the offer.

League leaders BSc took to the field to play WIEM class on Saturday. The match would end 5-0 in favor of the defending champions after goals from George Oketch, Kelvin Omondi and Kadogoo found the back of WIEM net five times.

Sunday saw last season’s runners-up Kiswahili host newcomers AGEC. Francis Dogo found the back of the net but goals from Stanley Mwangi Ndung’u and Wetoyi Nelson denied Kiswahili any point on that evening. The match ended 2-1 in favor of AGEC.

From the other end of the sports ground Ensc locked horns with NARE class in Kilimo High School football pitch. NARE’s latest import from Ecotourism class Peter Mwangi found the back of Ensci’s net with only five minutes played. The dimunitive winger raced sent a thunderous shot past Ensc goalkeeper Alex ‘Mukangala” Wasike to make Ensc go a goal down. In the box to box match that saw both teams squander a dozen chances, an equalizer only had to come in the dying minutes of the game when Ensc defender leveled things through an Edward Leperes assist. Both teams shared the spoils on that evening.

After round two of play, BSc lead the table which stands as follows:
