Reports indicate that Bayern Munich, a top club in Germany Bundesliga has resumed training even as the world is continuing to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic which has so far claimed the lives of more than 60,000 people all over the world forced the postponement of major leagues including Italian Seria A, English Premier League, French League 1, Spanish La Liga, UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
EPL had set up to 13th April as the date for return to action and many are still waiting to see if indeed the games will kick-off. A number of players and managers have also announced having contracted the virus with the top being Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta.
It is highly likely that with the start of training for a top club like Bayern Munich, Bundesliga will surely be back in no time despite the fact that Germany has lost about 1,000 people so far in the pandemic.
For some weeks now, top leagues in the world have been having discussions on whether to allow the continuation of the games or suspend the season altogether and declare the points so far accrued null and void. Should the league be devoid-ed, Liverpool in England will loss a great chance of reclaiming victory in the top league flight and staying at par with their arch rivals Manchester United. United are currently at position five in the league.
