Gospel show host, David Muthengi, alias HolyDave has called it quits from Citizen TV. The Bambika show host announced his exit on Tuesday, February 25.
Posting on his Facebook page, the gospel singer shared a lengthy post explaining his resignation.
“After careful consideration and soul-searching, I have made the decision to take a break from hosting #Bambika on Citizen TV. The past 3 years have brought opportunities for growth and I am grateful,” wrote HolyDave.
According to HolyDave, he needed more time to concentrate on the final part of his PhD studies after three years on TV.
“As I am drawing closer to the end of my PhD journey, every minute, every ounce of energy and every resource is critical towards my thesis research. In the waves of this change, I am looking forward to higher heights as I explore new territories,” he said.
He took the opportunity to thank his colleagues and fans for the great support and love they showed for the three years he has been on TV.
“I am very appreciative of the incredible team I have had the pleasure of working with. I am also thankful for all my supporters; both online and in the many counties I have traversed. Thank you for your constant love and encouragement,” he added.
The musician hosted Bambika show alongside Timeless Noel, Miss Karwirwa and DjGGActivist. His departure from the station comes barely less than two years after his sister, Joey Muthengi said goodbye to the station. Joey who was a news anchor and also doubled up as a co-host for 10 Over 10 Show left Citizen TV on Friday, November 9.
The rivetting lass later made a comeback to the media industry landing a new job with Capital FM.
