The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has issued guidelines on the preparation of the national exams despite a reopening date for schools not being set.
KNEC acting Chief Executive Mercy Karogo directed all sub-county directors of education to collect registration nominal rolls from headteachers between October 4 and 9.
The school heads were further directed to submit registration details of candidates who will sit the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
“During the stipulated period, KNEC officers will collect the 2020 KCPE and KCSE registration nominal roll.
“In regard to this, you are requested to have collected them from the head of institutions,” Karogo stated.
Another instruction issued was a directive to the school heads to avail details of students registered as private candidates in their respective schools. The details of all candidates will be filled in an online site after the headteachers verify and approve the data.
