Man United, PSG, Basaksehir and RB Leipzig have been grouped together in the Champions League. The draw held at the UEFA headquarters, Nyon, Switzerland on Thursday seemed to have handed Chelsea FC a smooth ride while placing their counterparts, the red devils in the competitions group of death.
The draw was carried out by former Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba and ex Trabzonspor winger Florent Malouda.
Basaksehir which seems to be the underdog in group H qualified for the Champions League group stage after winning the Turkish league last season.
The Turkish representatives have never faced Man United, PSG or Leipzig in a European competition clash.
Basaksehir became just the sixth different team to win the league in the process – joining Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor and Bursaspor.
The Istanbul minnows will compete in the Champions League group stage for the first time this term.
Two of the best footballers in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, will renew their Champions League rivalry after their teams (Juventus, Barcelona) were drawn together in Group G.
Olympique de Marseille
Zenit St Petersburg
Paris St Germain
