Here you not only get the whole story but also get a new angle to all the stories ,a whole different meaning. Today we talk about the political situation at Egerton University, with the nominations over ,the aspirants have gone straight into politics, political witch hunt and all sort of vices that define Politics.
Going for the post of chairperson this time round is Issac Maweu ,Hamisi Otieno and Macharia. All the aspirants this time round are out to grab the seat, for the first time ,the elections presents some tough road to be traveled by the three. A lot has been said on Facebook about Maweu, Macharia and Amisi. #OnTheRecord today we talk about Amisi .
Amisi Edwin Otieno,a fourth year agricultural engineering Student is one person who can be described as strong, powerful and experienced owing to his stint in the muddy political waters. He is not new to SUEU politics. Last year,he contested for the post of Director academics. Its during this time that he sued the administration over engineering students accreditation ,a case he later dropped following issues of mistrust from his fellow comrades. He would later spearhead engineering students and their counterparts ,biomedical students last month over accreditation issue.
“I wont allow a room for an admin puppet to rule Egerton University, kitchenettes must remain operational. I want to take Egerton University to the next level” Amisi opens up with a lot of confidence and gravitas in his voice.Coming to this election with a wealth of experience and the back up of former Director health and transport Fredrick Omollo ,Amisi is a big name in the upcoming polls. From the look of things ,the chairpersons seat is not a one horse race, not a two horse race ,its a three horse race. All the nominees stand equal chances of winning ,its all about scheming and getting it right and getting enough votes from the hotbeds.
