Rowdy Youth Disrupt Raila Odinga Rally at Burma with Chants of Wheelbarrow

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga faced a hostile crowd when he made a stop at Burma market on Wednesday. A section of traders shouted him down while carrying a ‘wheelbarrow’, also a party symbol for UDA party and synonymous with Deputy President William Ruto.

The traders proceeded to shout ‘Ruto’ from afar as Raila addressed the crowd.

Raila was accompanied by former Starehe MP Maina Kamanda who donned the BBI outfit.

On Twitter, Raila said he made a stop at the Burma market ‘to say hello to the people’.

Earlier, Raila met youths to drum up support for BBI.

“Raila meets with hustlers at burma market after calling them takataka”, noted Caleb Kositany.
The narrative was also supported by Hon. Gedion Keter who appeared to be celebrating the former premier’s humiliation.
“Raila Odinga and Maina Kamanda Face Chants of Ruto and Wheelbarrow as they made a stop at Burma Market, Nairobi. Are the people in Burma sending a message?”, another tweep Bravin Yuri reiterated.
“Uhuru will be treated worse than this. Any lesson? No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; he must be put to death. Raila and Uhuru are destined for destruction. Any youth anywhere near any of them should obey the command. Burma was a good chance. Maliza mtu”, added another tweep.
