The Strathmore Leos have been handed a morale-boosting sponsor from the Pan Africa Asset Management (PAAM), which has entered a two-season sponsorship deal with the Kenya Cup side.
The Sponsorship package which is valued at Sh 8 million saw both parties sign an agreement on the 27th of November 2014, that will see the Kenya Cup side rebrand from Strathmore Leos to Pan Africa Strathmore Leos, to fully incorporate the Sponsors branded name.
After poor performance at the start of the league, Strathmore Leos came up strongly in week two and three consecutively with spectacular performances lifting them to position one.
Pan African Strathmore Leos started the Kenya Cup 2014/2015 on an impressive note winning all their three matches and leaving defending champions Nakuru RFC to chase them from behind after taking the lead.
They are leading in Kenya Cup table standings with a total of 15 points from three outings, followed closely by defending champions Nakuru RFC and KCB, who tie on 14 points with a slight goal difference.
“This was a dream come true for us. It is unbelievable that we are on top of the table and today we are signing a deal worth that kind of money”, Mitch Ochola one of the team members told the media.
