Harambee stars captain Victor Wanyama has issued a statement over his alleged involvement with a lady who featured in one of Arthur Mandela’s Instagram shows.
The Impact Montreal player noted that the video is character assassinating to him as an individual and to his entire family. He noted that he has worked hard all his life to establish a brand and that it is unacceptable to him for anyone to try ruin it by coming up with fictitious characters and claims.
The Lady who appeared in the video was asked by XtianDela the number of celebrities she had engaged with and aside from mentioning about ten, she delved much into the person of the former Tottenham and Celtic FC player.
In his statement, Wanyama who is also the brother to McDonald Mariga who formally played for Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho noted that he had instructed his legal team to move in quickly and sue the two individuals and seek for reasonable compensation.
Both Mariga and Victor Wanyama have been under extreme criticism before with such like talks of weird relationships featuring. Sometime back, a number of people chipped in Wanyama’s name in the relationship between Diana Marua and Bahati Kioko.
The lady in question and who has been identified as Socialite Shakila claimed she had sexual relations with him during an interview with the blogger.
In the midst of such, the 29 year old football star joins the likes of Kashiwa Reysol’s Michael Olunga and midfielder Johanna Omollo who are set to miss the clash between Harambee Stars and Comoros in upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
Harambee Stars are set to take on Comoros in a double-header in November, but before that, they will play build-up matches, firstly against Zambia on October 10 in Nairobi, and a game against Sudan yet to get a date.
