Weekend Diary: Mseto Campus Tour going down at Bondo University.

It’s been a great week for Kenyans as Kenyan athletes continue to shine in the ongoing IAAF World Championship in Beijing, China. The week also marked the 5th Anniversary of the new constitution.

Away from that, another busy events infested weekend is here. Let’s look at what the weekend has in store.

When- 29th August

Where – Bondo University

This Saturday, Mambo Mseto entertainment powerhouse is landing at the silent Bondo University. Led by the celebrated Mambo Mseto host Willy M-Tuva they will be bringing heavens down with real music. New talents will get a chance to be on stage. He will be accompanied by one time Tanzanian mercurial singer. You can’t afford to miss this.


Poetry at the pool. 

When – 28th August

Where – YMCA Nairobi.

Charges – Free

When everything else fail – WORDS make happen. Come listen to amazing versifiers from in, around and out of Nairobi City. Going down at YMCA CENTRAL State House. It’s going to be hot as wordsmiths bombard you with mind blowing lines. There will be innumerable spokenword, non-stop music, rich poetry and open mic sessions.


Mega Revival meeting. 

When – 28th to 30th August

Where – Eldoret Sports Ground

Jesus is Lord ministries will be having a mega healing services over the weekend in Eldoret. Millions have already flocked in the town ready to receive the Gospel, blessing and healing. Christians countrywide  irrespective of their varied denominations have paid pilgrimage to the busy town. The meeting will be climaxed by the Prophet of the Lord Edward Owour.


Turkana Festival. 

When – 28th to 30th August

Where – Ekalees Center, Lodwar

This weekend, Turkana County brings you the much anticipated 2nd edition of the ‘Turkana Festival’. Celebrating the Turkana (Ateker) cultural diversity for peace and development’ is this year’s motto. The rich festival has been expanded to accommodate more activities. There will be cultural performances by the Ateker Communities of Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia. There will be trade and tourism expo. You’ll also get a chance to tour heritage sites within the county including the Turkana Boy Excavation Site and Dr. Richard Leakey’s TBI Archeological International Field School plus much more.


Mr and Miss Mombasa County Body Building. 

When – 29th August

Where – Fort Jesus.

The Ministry of Sports, Gender and Youth, Mombasa County this weekend brings you Mr and Miss Mombasa County, where body builders will be battling out for NABBA body building championship. Category are Mr. class, figure, bikini, physique, power lifting for both male and female. It will take place on 29th & 30th of August 2015 at the Fort Jesus in Mombasa.


Hakuna Matata Festival. 

When – August 29th

Where – Machakos People’s Park

Charges – sh 1100

The Hakuna Matata Festival is a Kenyan festival of Music with a message of peace, good vibes and NO WORRIES. Worry Less, Live More!The Hakuna Matata Festival is all about giving you the best in Live Music and Dj performances in Kenya’s most exotic locations. This year’s will mark the 6th Edition. It’s getting bigger than before as super talented H_art the Band will be live during at the event.



English Premier League is slowly gaining momentum. After the 7:1 aggregate win by Manchester United during midweek, it’s clear, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that this season’s cup is headed for Old Trafford.
